TOPIC: ISSUE28

TOPIC: ISSUE28 - "Students should memorize facts only after they have studied the ideas, trends, and concepts that help explain those facts. Students who have learned only facts have learned very little."

WORDS: 426 TIME: 02:34:29 DATE: 2008/6/27 19:07:49

Nowadays we are living in a special society, which is a Sargasso Sea of knowledge one. Living in such a society, newly developed information come from nearly every aspect, thus students cannot acquire the facts and its ideas, trends or concepts of every subject. They need to separate which facts should be dug in with those concepts, trends and ideas and which need not.

Acquiring facts related ideas, trends and concepts, which is the information to explain the facts, before students memorize facts, is an excellent method of study. According to a psychologist’s experiment, the human's brain is a memory that can easily learn those events which is related to the events that the brain has acquired before. That is to say, we can memorize new knowledge effectively if we can find out some other related events in our memory and try to learn both the knowledge and the related events together.

Simply but, if we do not search the related information in our memory while learning a new knowledge, the learning progress will become harder. For example, we can memorize a arithmetic progression quickly due to a formula in our memory that can work out all the numbers that belong to the sequence, however, if we do not know about the formula, we can only memorize the numbers one by one and may never acquire the whole sequence.

On the other hand, it is not all the facts that worth us to acquire the information to explain them. Our profession and occupation determined that in some fields, it is better to memorize facts than to acquire both related information and facts. Cell phones are being widely used now, but only a few professional persons can explain what GSM network is and how the cell phone works. The users of cell phones just need to know that a cell phone can be used to dial, to connect the wireless network and they do not need to figure out how cell phone invented or other details. That means knowledge of just the facts, cell phones, is enough for the users.

Therefore, it is necessary to acquire the related information of the facts when you are in your study field or major course, as you have acquired those information it will help you to memorize the facts smoothly. On the contrary, we cannot dig out all the concepts, ideas and trends that behind the facts in this era of information, which need us to aware that, for the facts out of our field, learn only facts is enough.

Linux

grub>quit

sh#reboot

Win XP
Ubuntu

CODE:

# rpm -Uhv
http://rpm.livna.org/livna-release-8.rpm

# rpm --import http://rpm.livna.org/RPM-LIVNA-GPG-KEY

# yum install xorg-x11-drv-fglrx kmod-fglrx glx-utils

CODE:

# glxinfo | grep direct

修改/etc/grub.conf 在老的内核后面加上iommu=off

QUOTE:

kernel /vmlinuz-2.6…… ro
root=LABEL=/ rhgb quiet iommu=off

----------------

如果显示NO(我的就是NO)

Mobility Radeon x1400
ati-driver-installer-8-6-x86.x86_64.run

到root权限,输入#aticonfig --initial(特别注意,这里initial前是两个横--),会出现以下类似的提示:

[root@localhost ~]# aticonfig
--initial

Found fglrx primary device section

Using /etc/X11/xorg.conf

Saved back-up to /etc/X11/xorg.conf.fglrx-1

Unknown
video
driver for fglrx cards"

#ifconfig eth0

#/etc/rc.d/init.d/network restart

如果存在文件 /usr/sbin/pppd,则说明已经安装了pppd;

http://www.roaringpenguin.com/pppoe/rp-pppoe-3.2-1.i386.rpm

#rpm -Uvh rp-pppoe-3.2-1.i386.rpm

http://www.roaringpenguin.com/pppoe/rp-pppoe-3.2.tar.gz

B.解压缩

#tar xvfz rp-pppoe-3.2.tar.gz
#cd rp-pppoe-3.2

#./go

#/usr/sbin/adsl-setup

当出现
>>> Enter your PPPoE user name :

>>> Enter the Ethernet interface connected to the ADSL modem
For Solaris, this is likely to be something like /dev/hme0.
For Linux, it will be ethn, where 'n' is a number.
(default eth0):

>>> Enter the demand value (default no):
输入 no

当出现
>>> Enter the DNS information here:

>>> Please enter your PPPoE password:

>>> Choose a type of firewall (0-2):

>>> Accept these settings and adjust configuration files (y/n)?

Connected;
/usr/sbin/adsl-stop 关闭和ISP的连接
/usr/sbin/adsl-status 查看当前连接的状态

#chkconfig --add adsl

#ifconfig -a

#netstat -nr

#nslookup www.sina.com.cn

Atlantis Focuses On Wraith

The upcoming fifth season of SCI FI Channel's original series Stargate Atlantis will focus heavily on the Wraith--with a side trip to Las Vegas to commemorate the show's 100th episode, producers told SCI FI Wire during a visit to the show's sets in Vancouver, Canada, on May 16. (Spoilers ahead!)
Other key developments: Teyla (Rachel Luttrell) will have her baby in the fifth season. The character became pregnant last season to accommodate Luttrell's real-life pregnancy. Luttrell has given birth, so her character can follow suit. The baby is delivered on camera by Dr. McKay (David Hewlett). (Inside word is it's a boy!)
Teyla also sees her abilities get out of hand in an episode in which she touches the mind of a Wraith Queen, which activates her Wraith DNA. According to Luttrell, Teyla "embodies" the Wraith Queen--the actress will appear in full Wraith makeup--and becomes "the leader of an alliance of Wraith."
Also look for the return of the Wraith-worshipping Satedan Tyre (Mark Dacascos) in an episode in which he captures Ronon (Jason Momoa) and attempts to sacrifice him to the Wraith. Ronon is given so much Wraith enzyme in the episode that he gives in completely to his dark side and apparently does some serious damage to Sheppard (Joe Flanigan).
Momoa said that he got so deep into his character's rage in the episode that he actually broke a gurney he was strapped to. Momoa called the episode the most fun he's ever had as an actor. (Contrary to previous speculation, however, Momoa does not lose his trademark dreadlocks in the episode.)
Even Dr. Jennifer Keller (Jewel Staite) and Richard Woolsey (Robert Picardo) have close encounters with Wraiths in the coming season, the actors confirmed. Staite said that her character will be trapped with a Wraith in one episode. Picardo cited a moment when Woolsey is about to be killed by a Wraith, as an example of his character's emerging courage.
Not everything is about the Wraith though. Flanigan said it's his understanding that filming for the show's upcoming 100th episode will take place in Las Vegas. Though Flanigan claimed to have no more details than that, he surmised that this would probably mean the episode will have to do with the replicators.
Six episodes of Stargate Atlantis' new season are complete, and filming of new episodes continues. The fifth season kicks off in July. --John Sullivan

ARGUMENT16

TOPIC: ARGUMENT16 - The following appeared in a letter to the editor of a local newspaper from a citizen of the state of Impecunia.

"Two years ago our neighboring state, Lucria, began a state lottery to supplement tax revenues for education and public health. Today, Lucria spends more per pupil than we do, and Lucria's public health program treats far more people than our state's program does. If we were to establish a state lottery like the one in Lucria, the profits could be used to improve our educational system and public health program. The new lottery would doubtless be successful, because a survey conducted in our capital city concludes that citizens of Impecunia already spend an average of $50 per person per year on gambling."

WORDS: 376 TIME: Unlimited DATE: 2008-5-25 22:01:00

The author said that their neighboring state, Lucria has a state lottery to supplement tax revenues for education and public health. And the author also concludes that if their state, Impecunia, has a lottery like that, the lottery would be doubtless successful and the profit could be used to improve their educational system and public health program. However, the author fails to convince anybody that the lottery can be profitable.

Firstly, the author's point depends on the assumption that the survey is statistically reliable. Yet, the author offers no evidence to substantiate this assumption. The author must show that not only the quantities of the conducted samples are sufficient, but the samples can represent of every level of age and jobs. Without a statistically reliable survey, the author cannot make any conclusions based on it.

In addition, the author think that the person who spending on gambling will also spending on lottery. Though lottery is a special pattern of gambling, but they are not same. The survey fails to show which patterns of gambling people intend to, thus we cannot predict that whether the lottery can be accept by the players of gambling.

Secondly, the author's inference that the Lucria's state lottery which is effective in Lucria will also be effective in Impecunia rests on the poor assumption that the two states in any aspects are the same. Perhaps Lucria has fewer population of pupil and groups that requires health treatment than us, thus Lucria can spend more on every pupil they has and the person who needs health service.

Furthermore, Lucria started the state lottery two years ago, the author draws the conclusion that the lottery will doubtless be successful if it starts in Impecunia based on the consumers of the lottery can keep increasing in the future. However, we cannot foresee if more consumers of Impecunia will play with this lottery in the future, therefore, we cannot assume that the lottery will be successful let alone about the lottery can be profitable.

In all, the survey provided by the author, which is the base of the new lottery assumption in Impecunia, is lack of statistically credit. Without a credible survey and a reasonable assumption, the author's suggestion about lottery in Impecunia cannot be adopted.

ARGUMENT65----Draft

TOPIC: ARGUMENT65 - The following appeared in a memo from the president of a chain of cheese stores located throughout the United States.

"For many years all the stores in our chain have stocked a wide variety of both domestic and imported cheeses. Last year, however, the five best-selling cheeses at our newest store were all domestic cheddar cheeses from Wisconsin. Furthermore, a recent survey by Cheeses of the World magazine indicates an increasing preference for domestic cheeses among its subscribers. Since our company can reduce expenses by limiting inventory, the best way to improve profits in all of our stores is to discontinue stocking many of our varieties of imported cheese and concentrate primarily on domestic cheeses."

WORDS: 131 TIME: 00:18:45 DATE: 2008-5-19 0:44:18

The president did not show the capacity of the survey's sample, which means we cannot prove that if store domestic cheeses single could bring any profits according to the survey. Nevertheless, the subscribers, whom we do not know which groups they are belong to, will not support the point of storing domestic cheeses primarily perfectly, for the subscribers may intend to choose domestic cheeses but imported ones.

Moreover, the best-selling cheese in our newest store cannot indicate that the cheese would be best-selling in all of our stores. And the recent survey, which gave a prediction, cannot be a strong reason for us to store domestic cheeses primarily. What's more, we did not give any information about the so-called ' an increasing preference' which, however, the increase rate can be tiny.

Linux (Android)

initrd-android 22.93MB

haret-0.5.1.exe 125KB
http://www.handhelds.org/~koconnor/haret/haret-0.5.1.exe

ROM 5.2.19716(19700.dutty's WM6.1)
Radio 1.65.14.06

DRM Common Solutions...

要钩选 China City Navigator OF V6.0   。

====================================================================================

[img] [/img]

http://wiki.xda-developers.com/uploads/RepairBootLoader.zip
3.删除JFlash_MM文件夹中的ebo_a.nb0,把O2 Atom的rom中的eboot.nb0文件复制到JFlash_MM文件夹中 ,并重命名为 ebo_a.nb0.

在jflash_mm文件夹下面有个start.bat的文件
start.bat文件里面有:
jflashmm pxa27x32 ebo_a.nb0 P 0 PAR
jflashmm pxa27x32 ebo_a.nb0 P 3F40000 PAR
JFLASH Version 5.01.007
COPYRIGHT (C) 2000 - 2003 Intel Corporation

PLATFORM SELECTION:
Processor=             PXA27x
Development System=    Mainstone
Data Version=          1.00.001

Couldn't access giveio device

Operation system

 版本是V11.0.009的……

NOKIA N Series....

N93i_Flashing_1

Thursday, January 10, 2008

On Dec.7.1941, the United States was deliberately attacked by the Japanese Empire.

So I write this to memory the crimes made by the Japs.

自从symbian(N70)转换到Wm.

The Huge TFT Screen

To welcome the so called professors, our school set a brand new huge TFT screen outside...

Feed Back circuit

Terrible Day.......

I'm trying to use Spaces to blog something useful. But I failed. I've terrible mood today & I'll write something depressed here.
I've tried to finish my Physics Experiment Reports until I realized that I even hadn't fulfilled Mathematics yet, to make things worse, I've stucked by an unexpected problem 4 nearly 2 hrs..I don't know, why, everything, everybody, & every stuff I met was trying to stop me from...well,I even don't know what the hell exactly it is...
